Privacy Policy - NoiseWall
Effective date: August 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the NoiseWall iOS app (including iPad and Mac “Designed for iPad”) handles data under Apple’s App Store privacy requirements and applicable law (including LGPD and GDPR).
The app itself does not collect personal data directly. Data processing happens only on the device, through Apple services, or through the third-party SDK listed in this page.
1. Data collection scope
NoiseWall does not run an internal user database and does not directly collect personal identity data from users.
The following data may be processed:
- On the device only: noise gain, filter frequency, timer length, and whether ads have been removed. These settings stay in the app’s local storage (
UserDefaults) and are not sent to MynioTech. - By Apple: in-app purchase receipts for the optional “Remove Ads” product, processed by StoreKit / the App Store. MynioTech does not receive card numbers, Apple ID passwords, or billing addresses.
- By Google AdMob (only while ads are shown): device and advertising identifiers (for example IDFA, when you allow tracking), approximate location inferred from IP address, ad and app interaction data, and technical / diagnostic data used to serve, measure, and prevent fraud in ads.
The app does not require account registration and does not ask for full name, government ID, or similar identification documents.
No in-app form is used to directly collect personal identity information.
NoiseWall does not include Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.
2. iOS permissions and system access
The app uses the following system capabilities, and only for the purposes listed:
- App Tracking Transparency: asks permission to use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) so AdMob can serve personalized ads. You can decline and still use the app; ads may then be non-personalized. The prompt text is: “NoiseWall uses this identifier to deliver personalized ads. You can still use the app if you decline.”
- Background audio: keeps white / pink / brown / custom noise playing when the app is not in the foreground.
- Network: loads ads (when ads are enabled) and, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain US states, Google’s consent messages.
- Local storage: saves your mixer, filter, timer, and purchase state on the device.
NoiseWall does not request access to the microphone, camera, contacts, photos, precise location, or motion data.
3. Tracking
Apple defines tracking as linking data from this app about a user or device with data from other companies’ apps, websites, or offline properties for targeted advertising or advertising measurement — or sharing that data with a data broker.
When you allow tracking, AdMob may use the IDFA and related advertising data for that purpose. The App Store product page therefore lists Device ID, Advertising Data, Product Interaction, and Coarse Location as data used to track you.
You can:
- Deny or later change tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Open Privacy Options in NoiseWall Settings where Google’s consent form is required (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and certain US states).
- Remove ads entirely with a one-time in-app purchase. After that purchase, NoiseWall does not start the ads SDK or request tracking.
4. Third-party SDKs and services
The app includes third-party code. Any data collection and processing by that code is performed by the provider under its own policy:
4.1 Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and User Messaging Platform
Purpose:
- Displaying banner ads in the free version of the app
- Measuring campaign performance and preventing ad fraud
- Personalizing ads, when allowed by your tracking choice, consent choice, and applicable law
- Showing a consent / privacy-options form where required (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and certain US states)
Data that may be processed:
- Advertising and device identifiers (including IDFA, if you allow tracking)
- Approximate location from IP address (not GPS)
- Ad impressions, clicks, and related interaction data
- Technical device data (model, OS version, language, network)
- Crash and performance diagnostics collected by the ads SDK
If you purchase Remove Ads, this SDK is not started for that installation while the purchase remains valid.

4.2 Apple App Store and StoreKit
Purpose: offering, completing, restoring, and verifying the “Remove Ads” non-consumable purchase.
Payment details are handled by Apple. MynioTech only receives from Apple whether that product is owned, pending, cancelled, or revoked, so the app can hide ads.

5. Legal bases and purposes of processing
Where applicable, processing is based on:
- Performance of the service (playing noise, remembering settings, restoring a purchase)
- Legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention, and delivering ads in regions where consent is not required
- Consent, when required by law for tracking (App Tracking Transparency) or for ads personalization / storage (Google UMP in regulated regions)
- Compliance with legal and regulatory obligations
6. Data sharing
Data may be shared with:
- Google (AdMob and User Messaging Platform), through SDK infrastructure under Google terms, while ads are enabled
- Apple, for App Store distribution, purchases, and (if you allow tracking) SKAdNetwork conversion measurement
- Public authorities, when legally required
We do not sell personal data. We do not perform independent direct personal data collection beyond the on-device settings and the third-party integrations listed here.
7. Data retention
Data is retained only for as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.
- On-device settings: until you delete the app or clear its data.
- Remove Ads purchase: retained by Apple as part of your App Store account; the app reads current entitlements when it launches.
- Advertising-related data (AdMob): retained according to Google AdMob policies and legal requirements.
Some information may be retained longer when required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce legal rights.
8. International data transfers
Data processed by Google or Apple may be processed on servers located outside the user's country of residence, including by those global providers, subject to applicable legal safeguards.
9. User rights and data deletion
Depending on the applicable jurisdiction (for example LGPD, GDPR, and local laws), users may have rights to:
- Confirm whether processing occurs
- Access, correct, or update data
- Request anonymization, blocking, or deletion where applicable
- Withdraw consent, when processing is based on consent
- Object to processing in legally applicable scenarios
To exercise your rights or request data deletion, contact us through the developer contact listed on the NoiseWall App Store page, or via www.myniotech.com.
When we receive a valid deletion request, we will:
- Review and confirm the request.
- Delete or anonymize app data we control within up to 30 days, unless legal retention is required.
- For data processed by Google AdMob, handle the request according to Google’s available controls and policies. You can also reset the advertising identifier in iOS Settings.
You may clear on-device app data at any time by deleting NoiseWall from the device.
10. Children's privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age of consent in the user’s country), and it is not intended to be used by children without appropriate supervision. The ads SDK is not tagged for users under the age of consent.
If you believe a child has provided data in violation of applicable law, please contact us so we can evaluate and take appropriate measures.
11. Information security
We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or improper alteration. No transmission or storage method is 100% secure.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the app, applicable law, or third-party providers. The latest version will remain available at the privacy policy link provided on the App Store product page.
